The only way I know as a leader to say No to good things is to already have a bigger Yes. Leaders have to have the courage to say no to the few for the benefit of the many. Leadership team members benefited individually in professional development and the organization became more effective. Much less energy was devoted to non-productive interaction, resulting in better and more expedient decision making.

In summary, during a two year period, Dan led the leadership team through multiple dimensions of leadership development, including team building, succession planning and personal professional development of each member.
