Experienced leaders have mastered many great skills over the years.  However, all that experience can create locked in mindsets that become the lens through which we see everything.  Situational leadership demands that the leader have the competency to shift their mindset based on that unique challenge or they will miss the best solution.  This HBR post is a must read:
